Early and Late Season bookings
Please bear in mind that although skiing conditions are often very good in North America in the pre-Christmas and the late March and April periods, (usually regarded as early and late season) you may experience: -
- Accommodation described as ski in/ski out is subject to weather and snow conditions and to your own winter sports ability.
- Certain facilities in resort may not be open and the atmosphere may be quieter than in peak season.
- Some mountain resorts may take a decision unrelated to snow conditions to close earlier than the latest advertised departure date.
Air Passenger Taxes
Up to 120 in air passenger taxes (UK and Overseas) and air fuel surcharges as at 1 July 2006 are included in your holiday price. We point this out to highlight the large proportion of your holiday price, which is accounted for by taxation and increases in fuel costs.
Child and Infant Prices
Child prices apply to children aged 2 11 inclusive on date of return sharing a room with 2 full fare paying passengers. Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 will not be accepted. Infant prices are available on request but infants must be under 2 on date of return and will not be allocated a seat on the flight. Bassinets (sky cots) are available with some airlines but are subject to availability and must be requested at time of booking. Age restrictions for bassinets may vary according to airline. If required, you should request in-flight baby or child meals at time of booking as these are not automatically served. There will be a charge levied locally for cots in your accommodation.
Passports and Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure that you fully comply with all necessary passport & visa requirements of the USA and/or Canadian immigration and other governmental agencies. You will be refused carriage by the airlines unless you have a full and valid passport with an expiry of no less than 90 days at the date of entry to the USA or Canada. British Citizens who have valid, machine-readable passports issued before 26th October 2005, do not usually need a visa to enter the USA but can use the Visa Waiver Scheme for which forms will be provided at the airport or on the flight. Under certain circumstances you may still need a visa e.g. if you have a criminal record, are HIV positive or have a passport that is not machine-readable. All children under the age of 16, including infants, are required to have their own passport, meeting the same criteria as above. British Subjects will require a visa. Entry forms for Canada will be issued on board the aircraft. If in any doubt please check prior to travel with the US Embassy www.usembassy.org.uk - Tel: 020 7499 9000 or Citizenship and Immigration Canada - www.cic.gc.ca - Tel: 020 7258 6699.

Data Protection
We have measures in place to protect the personal booking information held by us. This information will be passed on to the principal and to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements. It may also be provided to public authorities e.g. customs or immigration if required by them or by law. Certain information may also be passed onto security or credit checking companies. If you travel outside the EEA (European Economic Area), controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will only pass your information onto persons responsible for your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us e.g. details of any disabilities, dietary/religious requirements. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, we will be unable to provide your booking. In making this booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.) Full details of our data protection policy are available upon request.
Airline Passenger Information & Passenger Name Record
All airlines are now required by US & Canadian law to give their border controls, access to passenger data for those passengers travelling to the USA & Canada before they arrive. Accordingly, any information an airline holds about you and your travel arrangements may be disclosed to the US & Canadian authorities.
Flight Times
Note that flights back to the UK are usually overnight and therefore land the following day. Whilst flight timings will be given at time of booking, these may be subject to alteration by the airline. Should this be the case we will notify you in writing.
Air Fares
The prices in this brochure are based on the lowest scheduled economy fares available and relate to a limited number of seats. When the stock of these is exhausted, we may be able to offer other economy seats with the same carrier at supplementary fares.
Seat Assignment
Generally airlines only permit a certain percentage of seats to be pre-assigned and once this limit has been reached the remaining seats are allocated at check in. However, at time of booking we will endeavour to automatically reserve seats for you from any remaining stock except for Economy class with Zoom where there is a charge for pre-assigned seating. Bulkhead & Exit row seating is allocated at check in only. We cannot accept responsibility for the failure of the airline to honour seating requests and on occasions the airline may automatically cancel all seating requests in the event of a schedule, aircraft or even flight number change
.
Free Baggage Allowance and Timings
Most carriers allow 2 pieces of hold baggage (up to a max. 32kgs per piece) per person and one piece of hand luggage (max. weight 5kg) in the cabin of the aircraft. Zoom Economy is a maximum hold luggage of 20kgs per person & 30kgs in Premium in total plus 1 set of skis or snow board. Baggage exceeding these limits will be subject to charges. All air travel arrangements shown are provisional and cannot be confirmed until your final tickets are issued.
Delayed Departure
Delays to flights generally occur at short notice and without our prior knowledge. At such times your welfare is the responsibility of the airline or its agents.
Tickets
Tickets will normally be sent to you approximately 14 days prior to departure. In the case of Late Bookings, we may need to arrange for your tickets to be available at the airport. A charge of up to 25 per person will be made. Some airlines have adopted a paperless ticketing system known as E-tickets. In this circumstance you will be provided with your Airline Locator reference which, in addition to your passport, is all that is required at check-in. Please note US & Canadian immigration control will also require full address details of your destination within the USA or Canada.
Name Changes
Many airlines do not allow name changes. A change of name will therefore entail cancellation of the original reservation and making a new booking subject to availability. If tickets have already been issued, this will normally incur the full cost of a new ticket along with any applicable amendment/cancellation fees. Where name changes are permissible an amendment fee will be charged which will be advised at the time of making your change.
Lost tickets
A charge of up to 100 is made for replacing any lost or stolen tickets. It may also be necessary for you to purchase a new ticket and claim the cost of this back after you have completed your trip. Claims for stolen tickets must be supported by a police report.
Smoking
Many public places are non-smoking as are a number of properties featured by us. Some accommodation has a choice of smoking or non-smoking rooms for which a special request can be made. All flights and any transfers are also non-smoking.
Alcohol
Alcohol laws in North America are very strict. Alcohol may only be purchased if you are 21 years or over in the USA and 19 years of age in Canada. Photo ID is often required and should therefore be carried at all times.
Hotels and Hotel Rooms
We have used our experience to select and grade the properties featured in our programme. No official rating system exists in the USA and so the grading relates to our assessment. Most North American hotels feature two double beds to sleep up to 4 people. Rooms are also featured with one large or extra large double bed. In certain properties extra beds may be available at an extra charge.
Apartments, Condominiums and Homes
Many of the properties featured are privately owned and the furnishings and fittings reflect the owners tastes. Any photographs shown are only as a guide and do not necessarily reflect individual units.
Security deposit
The taking of a Credit Card imprint for extras and as a security deposit is standard practice in most properties.
Building Work
Building works are not under our control, nor do we receive advance notice of when they will begin. However, where we are aware of any building works, which may reasonably be considered to materially affect your holiday, we will notify you as soon as possible. If we deem it necessary and subject to availability, we will offer you the opportunity to transfer to an alternative property at the advertised price or cancel without penalty.
Distances
Please note that all distances and travel timings quoted are approximate and will depend upon weather and traffic conditions.
Snow
We are sure that you are hoping for great snow during your stay, but snow can sometimes land in the wrong place! You are booking a holiday to a mountain environment and you must accept the risk that the weather could disrupt your travel plans, for which airlines and transfer operators will not accept responsibility. On rare occasions there may be a shortage of snow and to provide yourself with cover in these situations we would recommend that you take out our Insurance Policy (see page 31).
Unused Ski Packs
Any unused Ski Pack facilities are non refundable.
Special requests
We are happy to assist you in your special requests including dietary requirements, but they must be clearly advised in writing at the time of booking. We regret that we cannot guarantee that they will be met but we will endeavour to pass them on to the supplier(s) concerned. Where necessary, we reserve the right to charge an additional administration fee (of which you will be advised in advance) to cover any related costs incurred by ourselves.
Insurance
We cannot accept your booking if you do not have adequate travel insurance. We would recommend that you take out our own insurance. If you do not wish to take out one of our own policies we will require you to provide details of equivalent alternative cover.
